With Happily Divorced already available on Amazon and the book launch taking place this Saturday, I can hardly contain my excitement to share this accomplishment with family and friends! If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, you may do so by responding to the Facebook Event located here.
I mentioned a couple weeks ago that in addition to bringing you the awesome original band, The Fiddle Revolt, live on stage, there will be another special guest in attendance. And maybe you’re wondering who on earth this could be. Is it another musician, celebrity, a local sports personality, or another author? No… much more special than that! I am very pleased to share with you now that my birth mother, Marlene, whom I met four years ago and have gotten to know and love in that time will be joining in the festivities – traveling all the way from Scottsdale, Arizona to lend her support. This is not only special because she is coming. It is her FIRST TIME visiting me here! I can’t wait to have you all meet her.
Now some of you already knew I was adopted and maybe you’ve even met Marlene or heard me talk about her. For others, this may all be unexpected. It’s just one more part of my family story that compels me to ponder relationships, understand human connections, and explore family dynamics.
I’m going to let you discover on your own more about Marlene at the book launch. But let’s suffice it to say, this apple didn’t fall far from Marlene’s tree. Lol!
So when you see Marlene on Saturday, please be sure to give her a huge Buckeye welcome. And if you feel like telling her stories about me, I’m sure she’ll enjoy hearing those too. Just be kind. I’m a writer, ya know. 😉
Are you going to the event? Please RSVP on the Facebook event page, leave a comment here, and consider making a donation to our awesome musical guests The Fiddle Revolt. See you Saturday!
